Overview

After early morning breakfast, drive to the Holy city of Mathura (Optional, extra cost may apply) where Lord Krishna was born and spent his childhood. Visit the temples in Mathura, Vrindavan just 15 km from Mathura, is another major place of pilgrimage for Krishna followers.

Noted for its numerous temples - both ancient and newly constructed, the name Vrindavan evokes the playfulness and lovable characteristics of Lord Krishna.

Further proceed for Agra, Have lunch , and proceed to world famous , one of the seven wonders - Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz , A guided tour of Taj Mahal would take approximately two hours .The entrance fees for foreign nationals is Rs.1000 / adult and for Indians Rs.40 / adult.

After Taj Mahal , Visit Agra Fort - built by Emperor Akbar on the banks of the Yamuna River., This highlight of this 94 acre fort are the 2 gates , namely - Delhi Gate and the Lahore Gate. It is rumored that Shah Jahan died in this fort , in Muasamman Burj- a tower with a marble balcony with a view of the Taj Mahal .The tour of this fort will take 2 hours .

After a hectic day of Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra sightseeing, depart back to Delhi.

Note:

Agra same day tour, should start between 6-8 AM to avoid office traffic in Delhi.

Entering the city of Delhi after Agra sightseeing tour should be after 9 PM, to avoid traffic hours.

During summers (April - July), it is important to carry shades and umbrellas during the Agra sightseeing tours.

Taj Mahal is closed on Friday.
